No, it’s Physics, Alfred is following the virtual borderline with GPS satellite support.  
With our GPS-RTK navigation software, Alfred can calculate the robot position with a accuracy of 1-2cm. Based on this precision we are able to drive exactly on the virtual border, the user set.
But this is not only needed for the borderlines, with this precision we can mow in exact lines or other patterns. You can see this in other videos, too.
