owlRobotics GmbH ROS LiDAR-GPS Evaluation Kit:

With this ROS LiDAR-GPS evaluation kit we give you a perfect starting point to implement your own, ROS robotic solution. We offer a pre-configured navigation platform with hard- & software, for faster software development and adaption of your hardware. The preinstalled and configured ROS based software with an optical 3D-LiDAR, combined with high precision GPS-RTK navigation, helps you to upgrade your vehicles in an autonomous working robot. You can concentrate your development on the working schema of your robot and  use our experience in LiDAR and GPS navigation. 


The evaluation kit includes:

◦ Common high end bare bone PC with Intel i7 CPU and Linux OS.

◦ One 3D-LiDAR with 81.7°× 25.1° angle of vision, up to 260m range, 240k pts/s and up to 2cm precision.

◦ One GPS RTK Rover board for SAPOS, equal RTK base services or optional own RTK base.

◦ Pre-installed and pre-configured ROS algorithm (open source) for LiDAR & GPS-RTK point to point navigation.

◦ Hardware adapter board for PWM  motor controller and GPIOs.



Included functions:

Discover a defined area and  build it up in a digital map

Navigate  and drive the vehicle from a current position to a target point in the map (point to point)

Dynamic detect of obstacle  and borders and navigate around them

Add your own robot characteristics and work algorithms (this is rover individual and not included)

You can adapt your own ROS programs and adaptions

What else do you need, not included in the starter kit :

◦ A vehicle with PWM controlled motors (zero turn) and/or steering.

◦ GPIO controlled sensors (e.g. bumper).

◦ Online connection ( USB GSM data stick or a WiFi infrastructure on your test area).

◦ SAPOS or equal RTK base-service online access or optional you own RTK base.


 Optional :

  ROS model for lawn mower and similar applications (planed for 2022/2023).

  Development support and build up service for your robot  work algorithms.

  Hardware adaption for  your vehicle.
